    À LA UNE
In late January of 2004, a musician want ad was posted on a local music website. Two musicians from South Jersey were looking for two more musicians from the area to fill the respective slots in the lineup with little expectations. Two musicians responded that same night. The evolution of the rock band known as Tremor had begun. The band practiced for months until finally seeing the light of day in late April. Tremor lit up the stage at a local bar on South Street in Philadelphia, and finally was on the local music map. The band played a music showcase sponsored by an Indiana-based promotional group. That night, Tremor not only got a great response from the club and the crowd, but from three producers (one being from Universal, another being from Capitol Records) who were judging the bands that weekend. Tremor was basically told that if they played out enough, they'd make it. So the boys decided to keep working on their music, trying to make it better than what it was. And the evolution doesn't stop there. The band recorded a 3-song demo at BADBACK Studios in August '04 that spawned newer, better songs. And the evolution doesn't stop there. After their original bassist parted ways with the band, Tremor got back on track working hard to reenter the Philly music scene. And the evolution still hasn't stopped.

Tremor is frontman Mark Tartaglia from South Philadelphia, guitarist Sean O'Brien from Woodbury, NJ, drummer Matt Harrington from Thorofare, NJ, and bassist Dan Taylor from South Philadelphia. The Philadelphia/South Jersey based band produces a straight-up hard rock sound that ranges from obvious influences like Metallica, Godsmack, and Alice in Chains to personal musical influences like Dream Theater, Led Zeppelin, Tool, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, Stereomud, and Marilyn Manson. With so many influences being meshed together alongside raw talent, Tremor's music can be appreciated by all audiences. Tremor truly has a diverse and versatile sound that continues to evolve into something new and great. The combination of powerful and emotional lyrics, innovative and catchy melodies, and hardcore, forceful drumming creates music that their audience will remember well after the show is over. With what seems to be the final lineup, the young Tremor will continue to strive to make an IMPACT on the Philadelphia music scene.
