    RUBIES dynamic sound and rebellious originality has garnered them attention and airplay on WXRT, 94.7 the Zone, and other Local college radio shows. Inspired by experimental, progressive music, film and visual art, RUBIES have a dramatic musical style that compliments it's daring and intelligent songwriting. With a flair for storytelling that is modern in approach and classic in instrumentation, they have carved out a unique niche for themselves in Chicago’s diverse and eclectic music scene. Intricate melodies, haunting harmonies, and complex rhythms are all signature elements that are experienced when listening to a RUBIES song. Blending elements of folk, rock, country & alternative styles they have created music that defies genre as truly original music should. Having drawn comparisons to artists such as The Pretenders, Cold Play, The Velvet Underground & REM, RUBIES music speaks for itself. RUBIES are currently in the studio working on a full length album due for a Spring 05 release.
