À LA UNE
With influences varying from Bad Religion, Samiam, A.F.I, and MxPx After the Fight has been ripping through the local scene with an unmatched fury and determination. On any given weekend ATF can be found playing at such Chicago area venues as The Abbey Pub, The Elbo Room, Hoghead McDunna’s, & the U.S. Beer Company.
The ATF live show is highly energetic, and often frantic. The audience participation is palpable. One need only look around the room to find many singing along to “Fool Me Twice”, or shouting out (fists pumping) “You’re Dead to me!” (from “Shady Bitches”). The live setting is where After the Fight shines, and is always a fun experience for those in attendance!
The band’s debut album, “Basura Solamente” was recorded in Aug/Sept of ’04 and is set for release in early ’05. The debut will be released on Chicago’s very own BoneRecords. The CD features 13 tracks of furious dual vocals and melodic punk rock.
As 2005 begins, After the Fight has positioned themselves for an ascent to the top of Chicagoland’s crowded music scene. Whether they’re playing at the prestigious Abbey Pub, or slumming it at the infamous Mutiny, After the Fight will continue to bring it’s style of infectious punk/rock to those that are willing to listen…and have a good time of course!
