The Winston Brigby Pop Experiment started in late March of 2003 as the brain-child of singer/guitarist Alex Vance and drummer/pianist Joe Cousineau. The original idea was to be an acoustic/piano duo that covered The Beatles and Weezer. A few days after the formation of the duo, Dustin Kunar was added to the roster on guitar/vocals, and the three began rehearsing a set of Beatles covers for a one-time performance.

The show came and went, and it was decided that the group should continue on. Thus began what would become many nightly practice sessions at the Cousineau residence. Somewhere down the line, the decision to write and record an entire album of original material in the summer of 2003 was hit upon, and the result was Tales From The Old Country. Nothing more than a demo (but a very long demo!), it was sloppy and unrefined, but lay the seeds of the songwriting skills and band chemistry that would start to come to fruition the next year.

The year of 2004 saw the band release the EP "All Signs Point To Yes". Worlds away from the rough and not-quite-ready sounds of the previous summer, the EP was well-received at a damn-near riotous August release party/performance.

The remainder of 2004 brought radio performances and a few gigs, but most importantly, a bass player/yet another vocalist in the form of a lad named Erik Marsh. With the line-up now fully-formed in the traditional four piece rock-and-roll way, the band has its eyes on the horizon. Another release is planned for 2005, and many opportunities for the unaware public to catch the rock and roll revelation that is the WBPE live in concert. DO THE RIGHT THING.
