    À LA UNE
It has been a long road for Desieve. The only two original members are Jim Zieger (vocals) and Joe Barnak on guitar. These two started writing music at age 13. Originally Jim was playing drums with Joe playing guitar. Over the next 2 years they tried out many different musicians to piece their band together. Jim was writing all the lyrics and wasn’t happy with the way the singers were performing. He gave up his drum set for a microphone. In 1999, Jim met Ray Dove and stuck a conversation about music and ray informed him he was an aspiring drummer. They all jammed together and instantly clicked. After that was just a matter of finding a bassist. This is easier said then done. Desieve has had a few talented bassists over the years, but nothing that fit the direction the band was going. Finally after placing an ad on myspace i got in touch with DJ. He came over to jam and clicked instantly. He is now the permanent bassist of Desieve. They recorded a few low production demos over the years as they were trying to identify their sound. Desieve mixes very melodic and layered guitar riffs and low whispering vocals. Then they build and progress songs into powerful angry works of art, with the use of power chords and emotional growls. In 2004, Desieve’s music has grown into a shared vision of controlled mayhem. The songs are built to make emotions pour from the listener. Desieve is ever evolving and is not stuck in one genre of music. Desieve makes music that almost anyone can appreciate because every song is different from the last.
