    À LA UNE
Stare Syndicate was formed in May of 2004 with one purpose, to create music with powerful instruments, vocals with such conviction as never seen before. To prove their musical mettle, bandmembers Jeff Epoch, Paul Gardner, Chree! and Tom Walmsley after only four practices threw themselves into the fire of the Battle of The Bands at the Trocadero, and with only fifteen minutes of origional material, brought the audience, judges, and other bands to their feet, and after those fifteen minutes were over, they knew that something special had been forged. Needless to say, their first place spot put them into a high gear, and Stare Syndicate went into gigging mode, and after playing at least once a week sice then, and filling the rest of their time working on fresh material they have been poising themselves on the edge of the scene ready to make a big impact when they finally leap into the lush Philadelphia musical sound. With influences ranging from the obvious (Tool/APC, Pink Floyd, Dream Theatre) to the rather obscure (Zappa, Primus, Mars Volta) they take on a sound all their own that is both unique and somehow still maintains a mainstream sensibility. A musical force to be reckoned with, these guys are just looking for an outlet for their raw, emotional, and very impacting sound to surge through.
