À LA UNE
With a rhythm section strung tighter than a smackhead only one day into rehab, and a front man who truly puts heart, soul and calories into each performance, No Hope Astronaut truly pull rank against the countless ‘The’ bands of this world.
Conceived in 2005, No Hope Astronaut proudly showcase the creative talents of Joe Dowling (vox/guitar), Neil Stephenson (guitar), Dave Ferguson (bass/vox) and Adam Bailey (drums/percussion).
London based band No Hope Astronaut have performed at legendary venues such as The Underworld, The Clapham Grand and The Islington Academy, as well as appearing at many other well established venues throughout the UK. NHA have started building on their following in Scotland, touring in venues from The Moorings (Aberdeen) to The Westport Bar (Dundee).
All songs are written, produced and performed by NHA who are constantly in the studio writing new material. Each member brings a distinctive, yet unique quality to the writing process.
NHA feel at home on the big stage and provide fans and audiences with an energetic on-stage presence, great musicianship and a memorable performance.
Influences from Biffy Clyro, Deftones and The Smashing Pumpkins (to name a few) are evident, and there’s even a dab of chug-a-chug greats Helmet or Your Code Name Is: Milo at their most barmy.
The debut EP from No Hope Astronaut is entitled ‘The Things You Build’. This collection of great tracks has been enhanced by the mixing and engineering talents of Mark 'Eddie' Edwards (Reuben, Dykeenies, The Conway Story) and the Mastering expertise of Christian Wright of Abbey Road Studios (Graham Coxon, Hot Chip, Six Star Hotel) providing an EP to rival the quality of many big-budget releases.
