    Taking inspiration from 'heavy' genres like grunge/stonerrock on one side and combining it with the sensitivity of singer/songwriter music and the better kind of acoustic pop FreeStroke manages to positively suprise any audience.

    While the basis is acoustic guitars and the melodic vocals of the lead singer Carlos this is not the folky acoustic setting one might expect. Lead guitarist Roel is not afraid to treat is acoustic guitar like a metal guitar on appropiate times to provide some hard rocking riffs. And bassist Rens and drummer Paul give the finishing touch by putting tight rhythms behind the songs.

    The end result is a melodic acoustic sound that still manages to stand on it's own at any rock concert.
