ump: Press A are an Edinburgh outfit who have recently been featured on Vic Galloway‘s Radio 1 show and BBC ‘Scotland Introducing‘ podcast. Their sound is defined by weaving melodies, close harmonies, off-beat drums, up-beat tunes and crunchy guitars – all mixed up with a healthy dose of pop.

The band formed in much the same way as most bands – around a table at an open mic night. Impressed with each others‘ alcohol fueled musical efforts, they decided that, perhaps, together they could be more than a few drunks with instruments and a mild obsession with vocal harmony.

The band are currently in the studio recording and are looking forward to playing as many gigs as humanly possible
