With roots set deep in the rock 'n' roll glory days of the 1970s, Jackknife’s sound combines heavy blues-influenced guitar riffs and melodies with Marzena's evocative vocal talent.
Jackknife's sound is characterised by high paced, drum-roll-rich percussion; flying solo work from twin lead guitars; and bass runs at every possible juncture. The result is a band which sits within a range of musical creeds - combining 70's and 80's rock, Metal, Pop, and hints of Progressive Rock.
Jackknife’s primary influences are taken from Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Cult and Thin Lizzy, as well as a whole host of varied musical genres. With a focus on varied compositions, roller-coster dynamics and intricate musicianship from the 5 instruments involved, the genre and atmosphere alter massively from track to track.
