Root Mechanical consists of six members that deliver a unique and powerful sound. The first two members of the band were Guitarist Dan and Vocalist John. Soon Bert the Keyboard and Synthesizer player was recruited to add flavor. Bassist Adam came in response to a flier to fill in the low end and tighten up the sound. From the depths of a factory in Woodstock emerged Lee to add soaring melodies over Dan's harmony deepening the sound of Root Mechanical. Finally After some searching Drummer Sam was found under a rock in Wonder Lake. That being our 2nd drummer Sam burnt down and sank into the swamp. From the ashes yet another drummer has risen to hold the coveted position of drummer. We call him Matt.
This resulted in emotional and diverse lyrics over crunching guitar, tight drums, and catchy bass hooks. Layers of effects and ambient noise over heavy rhythm gives the music a surprising and refreshing mood in the world of metal. The fusing of the widely diverse musical influence of the band members has created a new sound with traditional roots that can only be described as industrial groove metal.
