Darkness Awaits was formed In April 2005, The band was origanally a side project of the members of the band. Darkness awaits is made up of Bass player Matthew Padilla, drummer Sabu Hernandez, Guitar players Leo Trevino, and TJ Cazares, and Vocalsit Daniel Tapia. Darkness awaits is an intense blend of brutal riffs and serenading melodies. The band was influenced by Kalmah, In Flames , and AFI.
DA has played along side many great acts such as Terror, Stick to Your Guns, and XDeathStarX. They have also acquired a big fan base in there home town Indio, CA, and neighboring counties. Darkness awaits has played great venues such as CHain Reaction, Showcase Theatre, and Metal devastation of Arizona.D.A will continue to pursue there dreams as musicians until the day they die.
