"JOSHUA SCOTT JONES & THE COLORS'' With a brick through the back window of their touring vessel, JSJ & The Colors realized their equipment was stolen on a fogy Nashville morning in the back alley at 3rd and Lindsley. This would normally bring some bands to throw in the towel, but Joshua Scott Jones and The Colors happen to be riding a wave that no pawn shop junkie can bring down! The band continued their following string of shows with donated duct-taped instruments and continue to buck the Nashville trend of John Mayer soft spoken wannabees! After Program Directors heard their demo, the Nashville based artist was quickly added into rotation on Nashville’s Lightning 100 FM. Produced by Brad Booker (former Stir, Gravilty Kills, and Apartment 26 drummer), JSJ and The Colors consists of Singer/Guitarist Joshua Scott Jones, vocalist Meghan Linsey, drummer Josh Fox, and Bassist Matthew Haussler. JSJ & The Colors have been identified as Lenny Kravitz meets Freddie Mercury. After a borderline homeless stint in Los Angeles playing clubs like the Viper Room, The Knitting Factory, and the Lava Lounge, Josh Jones wanted to return to his Midwest Illinois roots and locate in Nashville. He then joined up with his hometown friend and drummer Josh Fox who had enough of the music school stiffs and quit school and moved to Nashville. Now playing legendary venues in Nashville like the Bluebird Café, 3rd and Lindsley, and the Basement, JSJ and The Colors have quickly been scooped up by ASCAP while record label sheep and publishing punks are tripping over themselves to try and get in on the action. Josh and the boys think they all have funny coffee shop glasses and want to shine them. Contact/booking: Alan Ruby- bigalruby@gmail.com
