    One look and you’ll be captivated by this band’s exotic looks and fierce presence; one listen and you’ll be mesmerized by candid lyrics, bludgeoning guitar riffs, gut-enthralling bass lines and heart-pumping drum rolls. With Iree on lead vocals, Dodie on lead guitar, Chris on rhythm guitar, Richard on bass guitar and Ricci on drums, you have Highfly, a rock band from San Francisco, reminiscent of the city that they come from, in that this diverse fivesome, with influences ranging from metal, classic rock, funk, r&b and alternative, all come together for one thing: a passion for music and performing.

    The band currently plays in venues around the Bay Area and has currently released their debut album titled "Die For You". Highfly’s sound is influenced by System of a Down, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Foo Fighters, No Doubt and Aerosmith, among others.

    Three of the band members, Dodie, Ricci, and Chris, have been playing together since the summer of 1996. This tenacity is exemplified in their stage presence and concrete playing skills. Iree joined the band in 2004 as the band’s lead vocalist. Coming from an r&b/electronica background, Iree is one of a rare breed of strong female front-persons, writing all of her lyrics and has an exceptionally wide vocal range, with a confidence and charm on stage like no other. Richard joined shortly after Iree, bringing over a decade of slap/rock bass playing and stage performance with him. From this collaboration a new, progressive-rock sound emerged, bringing Highfly’s music into new heights of originality.

    But great music and enticing looks isn’t all the band has to offer. Their intense stage performance and animated characters make for one unforgettable show. Their passion for playing and performing and their loyalty to the band is undeniable, and all held together by their love for music. So if you love to rock…you’ll be sure to love Highfly too!
