A FEW WORDS FROM A MUSIC CHICK…

As a fan of live music I go and see all sorts of gigs big and small. All year round. I realise that for some strange reason bands bring out the best of themselves in summer. Especially when it comes to live open-air festivals. This may only be a silly little theory from an average music fan but I think that the following ingredients contribute to making an event like this even more special: SUN, BEER, LOVE, but most of all, the original bands who are not afraid to show what they’ve got. To find out about Emergenza through the tauberthal festival was a pleasant surprise! All the bands that I saw throughout the week end were without a doubt top level bands! I enjoyed it thoroughly. First of all let me congratulate Emergenza for giving original unsigned bands from around the world a shot. I don’t see many organisation doing this (I was dumbstruck when I found out) at the level that you guys are……so good for local music around the world! Then I would like to say that wherever a Emergenza gig will played I’ll be there. I was under the Emergenza stage all the time (apart from when Bloodhound Gang played Saturday) and I was rocked by those gorgeous boys from countries far far away. Friday, I was impressed by the last band (I read they are from Boston). The use of cello instead of electric bass was a nice touch. The electric board that the girl was bashing had an incredible sound (is it a xylophone?). Their music was dark and intriguing. My friends and I found ourselves totally involved in their set. On Saturday I was particularly taken by Einshoch6 (have you got the guitarist’s phone number for my friend?) they got me jumping for more after their set was done. We know they are German so we are going to find out about them and when they are touring again (for my friend’s sake). Anyway, all of this was to tell you once again that we had an awesome time! This was a great experience and we will be back next year………can we have more of the same talent please? Your favourite rock chick
