EMERGENZA BANDS EXCEL IN FLORIDA
Music in Paradise!
Direct Line and Slave to the SQUAREwave, former Canadian Emergenza winning bands, participated amongst other artists in Music In Paradise, the annual Florida concert series which takes place during the last week of March 2004 in Orlando, the most famous musical Spring Break in America!
Slave did so well they were invited back to perform at Disney, Universal Studios as well as a paid venue over a three day period the first weekend in June in front of 24,000 people. They will open each day for the headlining acts during their appearence.
Bon Jovi''s people also caught both their act in Boca Raton and are looking to explore a distribution deal for North America with Slave on their new remixes and some previously unreleased material. Slave currently has 9 of their trax playing internationally on Fashion TV
One of their trax, "Gorilla" is being remixed in Orlando, FL and will be released to dance clubs in Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America prior to their CD release. Discussions with Edel will begin later this month to secure European distribution. Rich Kronin of the pop sensation LFO (Girl On TV - Abercrombe Girl) will also be in the studio reviewing the song during the remixing session 4-8-2004.
Not to be outdone previous Emergenza winner Direct Line established themselves as a band NOT to have open for you. They destroyed a Central Florida based band that had won Clear Channel''s 105.9 FM''s Best Central Florida Band, making the band called Collitta hesitant to take the stage. The lead for Colletta even congratulated Eric the lead of Direct Line to state he was amazed and had NEVER seen an act like them before.
Even Colletta''s fans could not believe their eyes and ears and quickly rushed over to purchase Direct Line merchandise after they performed. Co-management contracts have also been issued to Direct Line to give them US representation.
It is evident that Direct Line has only gotten better since their appearances on Emergenza stages.
They created quite a buzz at the venues they appeared in with their jaw dropping performance. A US college tour is currently being planned for the fall of 2004 for Direct Line. To see pictures of their trip you can go to DirectLineBand.com
