OTTAWA SEMI FINALS TO START ON THE 8TH OF APRIL
48 bands out of 78 have made it through to the Semi finals! A lot of talent is hidden in the teen bands from Ottawa. The atmosphere on Thursday the 25th was New Metal when Nemesys started their performance, all the people in front of the stage were rocking with the band. Then it was time to change genre with the bands The Autumn, Neo Nostrum’s alternative rock and Moment of Clarity’s great rythm. The Rainbow was full of teen rockers who wanted to enjoy a good gig with their friends performing on stage!
The unique characteristic of this weekend was the Showcase on Friday, where the two bands Ground Level Defied and 7 Clicks who were in the Ottawa finals of last year made an amazing performance for all of their fans and the musicians that participated in these 2 years of Emergenza in Ottawa.
On Saturday The 7th Sign made sure that everybody knew what it means to play guitar! Faith in Falling were the next to perform and they surely gave the crowd a good heavy rock atmosphere. The band A Plot Against Me changed all the schemes of rock music by presenting their unique style and great music! They were followed by Black Cherry who brought everybody back to the original rock sound blending great keyboards and vocals, they were the only band of the night having a female singer, all the bands left the audience cheering and having great fun!
Sunday night the Rainbow welcomed half the bands who had acoustic guitars, Loner were the first to go on stage, with lead singer performing an incredible acoustic solo! The night was then rocked by the band Rudiger’s Tank whose fans were so thrilled by the music that they decided to throw their underwear on stage! It was then time for Somewhere on earth to go on stage and amaze the crowd with great back vocals and bass player!
A huge thanks to all the bands that participated to this final first round weekend and Congratulations to all the bands that made it to the next round! See you all at Barrymore’s!!
