STOCKHOLM: A GREAT KICK OFF!

And Nervous Nellie to go on tour

Emergenza in Sweden had a massive start with the first four nights at the rockclub Alcazar in Stockholm. 7 bands every night enjoyed themselves and their audience at the venue. The style of the music changed from swedish pop with swedish lyrics through punk, hard rock and live hiphop with some spanish (!) parts. A great variety of music and a lot of young talanted guitar players. Every night was a perfect glimpse of the talent of all genres that Stockholm holds and this is a great sign of things to come throughout the festival. All the bands were really worth mentioning, but let me mention ‘The Guns’, a very young band who has already a real garagerock hit in their starter: "We gonna save the world of rock´n´roll". For some of the bands the lack of technique was compensated with great performances without any signs of nervousness and with witty attitudes. A great kick off for Emergenza in Sweden 2004. And by the way, NERVOUS NELLIE, last year International Final winners, will go on a tour in Latvia and Estonia in April. 4 gigs in clubs in Riga (Latvia) - Jelgava (Latvia) - Tartu (Estonia) and a festival gig in Cesis (Latvia). One more opportunity musicians can get thanks to Emergenza… does it sound good?
