CHICAGO AND BUFFALO

Tales from one local manager and one band

Impressions from two Emergenza USA nights: a report from our new manager Kevin Jerziosky, and one from June’s website, a band who made it in Buffalo. CHICAGO, Jan. 18th For those who are not familiar with the Chicago local music scene are now forever hooked after witnessing Friday’s (Jan. 18, 2004) elimination round at The Note. This showing of bands was a perfect glimpse of the talent that can be found the city and its surrounding suburbs. Fans were treated to a variety music from the haunting heavy metal sounds of bands like WRETCHED and FACELESS to the pop/rock roots of PEEL and let’s not forget the crowd favorite BARTLEY FRITZSCHE who brought the Note a very controlled rock format. I have been around the Chicago local music scene for many years before and yet again the bands have raised the bar of musical standards and once again proven the caliber of music that can be found in this city on any given night. Friday’s showcase was great look at what the Emergenza Festival holds for the future in this city and at my highest recommendation I encourage fans of all genres to come experience the competition in the months to come. –Kevin Jeziorski- BUFFALO, Jan. 17th I’m writing this at 1.30 in the morning, just got home from the Emergenza concert. First let me start off by thanking everyone who came out in support of us, you were all absolutely awesome. Second, I’d like to thank all of the bands who participated, I’ve never known a more supportive group of musicians, it’s nice to see that bands bands can make friends and help eachother out rather than getting pissed off at eachother! And finally, for those of you that left before the results came in… we made it! We’re going to the Tralf! […] we recorded that live performance, we hope to release an Ep soon. For those of you who didn’t make it nin time to sign up for this event, or were debating to be a part of Emergenza, we totally recommend it, the staff and the crew were amazing, they really take the time to make sure everything is taken care of! So congratulations to the bands that are going on, and for the bands who are not going on, we look forward to playing shows with you in the near future! -excerpt from June's website-
