EMERGENZA’S USA PREMIERE: HERE WE GO!

……..And on January 8th Canada starts as well !

Finally the great moment came. January 8th is the date of Emergenza’s USA debut at Boston’s Club Lido. We are expecting a successful turnout from the North American gigs after the extraordinary results in booking. After about 1650 hours of meetings with over 1005 bands across 8 North American cities, all this will culminate in the official kick-off of the Emergenza Festival on January 8th, 2004 with the first round of concerts beginning in Montreal, Toronto and Boston. 88 Bands will ‘show us their stuff’ in this first round and 44 of them will walk away with a spot in the next round. A special mention for the band who has the honor to open officially the Emergenza Adventure in the USA on the Club Lido Stage: FLUTTR. And it will be quite an unusual performance: they will show a fusion of guitar, cello and electric marimba, an unique sound that will not fail in captivating our audience. Then there will be much room for the traditional Emergenza sound: genuine adrenaline-fueled rock music, with all its flavours: hard, metal, emo, aggressive, punk… Boston will be rocking for three days more, and then again on February 5th. We all are so excited! After the amazing success we obtained last year, Emergenza is ready to start its season in Canada this year too. The first cities in which concerts take place are Toronto and Montreal, the venue will be L’Alizée and Kathedral again, on the same date as Boston. 4 nights of live music and then just a pair of weeks to wait… do not be impatient! Of course our public will be rocking in Canada too, but get ready to listen and to dance to other genres of sound as well… Techno, dance, ragamuffin will not be lacking on L’Alizée and Kathedral stage. The bands who have the honor to open the Canadian contest will be both ‘emotional’: BRAINSTORMS with their adrenalinic emo-core in Montreal and LATE NIGHT CONFESSION with their catching emo-rock. Even if concerts are beginning, and though the official enrollment deadline was December 31st, bands continue to call in requesting to register! As a result of this, 25 more meeting dates were scheduled in the various cities to allow the maximum number of bands to take advantage of what Emergenza offers – the best gear and the best stages!! While no official final tally has yet been made, the numbers we are seeing in each city promise a VERY memorable debut year.
