THE EMIL BULLS ON TOUR!

One of the best German bands is going to rock Italy in February!

It was 1997 when Emergenza set out for Germany. The Emil Bulls, about eighteen years old at the time, had signed up for the festival, and won the regional final in Monaco. Just like in a dream, they found themselves playing to an enthusiastic crowd of 1500 people at the European Final at the Astoria in London. In the end, they took third place. During the next few years, Emergenza was always behind them. Special guest appearances, showcases, and continuous promotional support were important in guiding them towards a major deal. With the help of their management, Oh My Sweet (another of Emergenza’s partners), they found themselves at the top in 2000. Island/Mercury published their debut album in June of 2001. “Angel Delivery Service” has sold 50,000 copies so far in Germany and Austria alone, which is no small accomplishment for rookies. Their next CD “Porcelain” will be out in April and is being produced by Wolgang Stach (Guano Apes), mixed by Stefan Glaumann (Rammstein, Clawfinger), and the mastering is the work of Roger Lian (Masterdisk, New York). And now, with a reputation as an unbeatable live band (from June 2001 to September 2002, they played more than 180 concerts – Rock am Ring, Bizarre and With Full Force), the Emil Bulls are finally coming to Italy on a mini-tour. The 4 concert dates are: Feb. 13, Livorno - at the Cage Club (with Rayo Hormiga) Feb. 14, Florence – at Cencio’s (with Envision) Feb. 15, Treviso, at New Age (with Envision) Feb. 16, Reggio Emilia, at Calamita (with Envision) What can you expect from the Emil Bulls? Guitars complexly intertwined with solos worthy of Slash breaking out unexpectedly; a relentless rhythm from the drummer, accompanied by an incredible, pulsating bassist. All this is spiced up with samples, scratches, and keyboards to create something completely original. This is the background for the storm of lyrics coming from their vocalist, Christ, who projects something in between that of a broody pop angel and the rage of true hardcore. The Bulls have been able to create a style completely original and intriguing, (to get an idea, you could compare them to a mix between the Deftones, Linkin Park, Biohazard and A-Ha…) but without copying anybody and always taking us down a new road. Their disregard for musical conventions and ability to take from different musical genres creates a fun mix - fresh, dazzling, and exciting all at the same time. And playing live, the Emil Bulls never hold back. We’ll be the ones who have to hold back…….Smells like rock ‘n’ roll!
