You have participated in the Emergenza Festival Edition 2014/2015. What made you decide to take part in it?
The group was formed six months prior to the qualifying rounds of the festival. And basically it was a great chance to showcase our music and also get to see and meet with other artists.
As you approach the world final, what is your state of mind?
Firstly we had mixed impressions, as the reality of us winning dawned on us the next day. It is certainly a joyous occasion. We are honored and we are happy to represent Russia at the international festival. Also for us it will be a great experience to play along side top European groups. Hopefully we’ll be able to learn to one or two things from the festival and put it into use.
What is your best memory from your Emergenza experience?
Our final show. We tried to think outside the box and try to be different from other and I think we pulled it off.
What's behind your band's name? Any specific meaning?
Originally in Russian is derived from the word "truth" and the noun “pleasant hearing”. Also translated from Marathi language it means "to listen.”
If you had to choose a famous song that represents your band...which one would it be?
It’s quite difficult to say, we kind of talked about it together and couldn’t come to a concrete conclusion.
If your band had another name, what would it be?
Impossible. Everything happened and is happening as it should be. We believe in destiny, and yes, it hasn't disappointed not 1 bit.
Can you tell us a funny story or anecdote about your experience on stage?
We have our own personal record for soundcheck before a show, it took us approximately 15min to put everything in place including back-line, sound connection, instruments check, mic check e.t.c. It was at the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg, we were the opening act for Enrique Iglesias. Wow!, 15 minutes in my opinion, was not that bad for a venue accommodating 10 000 people.
What can audiences expect from one of your live performances?
Quality music and our natural charisma. We try not to disappoint them.
Before you go on stage, do you have a ritual or a good luck charm that goes everywhere with you?
Well, guess we’ve got 2 Talismans and they are our sound engineers. When they are with us, and often the case, we hope less for luck. Usually we gather in the dressing room and just have fun and talk.
What is your dream gig?
Coldplay concert at the Stade de France in Paris in 2012. It was the tour «Mylo Xyloto».
Do you guys have any hobbies? What do you do when you don’t play?
We try to spend some quality time with our family, sometimes we go out to reconnect ourselves with nature in the woods or country side, we go to the movies, we travel. Everything an ordinary people does? It just so happened that our greatest hobby has become the meaning of our life and we haven’t succeeded in finding a new one yet.
There’re loads of them. I am afraid listing them out is practically impossible, just too many of them.
If you could invite a band or an artist at your party, dead or alive, who would it be?
Wow, there’re loads of them. I’m afraid listing them will mean us all staying here till tomorrow because the list doesn’t stop.
What are your short to medium term plans after the international final?
Have some concerts here and there. We are participating at two festivals in autumn, as well as several opening acts at shows of world renown artists/groups. And, of course, to complete work on our debut album, and publish it.
What question did I forget? Can you suggest a question you would want me to ask?
I can’t help you with that. You ask, i answer. That’s the rules of the game
Why do you think you deserve to win the 2015 Festival edition?
I guess that was an understatement, because we already won the damn thing.
