The 16 bands will compete for the one spot in Germany. The spot, is to represent England in the Emergenza International finals taking part at the Taubertal open Air festival in Rothenburg. A 3 day concert and art event that has many headliners such as Biffy Clyro and Editors playing over the first week-end in August. At the London showcase, the bands will play in front of a panel of judges and will be selected on different criterias such as Stage Presence and Song-writing skills. All this is a very informal rock and roll party Atmosphere at the Garage in Islington.
The winning band will be flown over to Germany for fun, beer and mega watts of stage power! On top of that, musicians will have a chance to win gorgeous valve amplifiers kindly given by our main sponsor Marshall Amplification. The music on show at the Emergenza Showcase competition will be an eclectic mix to cater for all tastes. Heavy rock, pop, electronica, blues etc but the main thing is the fact that these 16 bands will be playing their best original songs with passion and conviction.
So get your friends coming, call your best friend and tell him/her to stop watching reality TV and get out there supporting the original music scene!
