Super energetic Hip Hop group Nico & Vinz, led by Rappers Nico Sereba and Vincent Dery, finally „cashed in“ their prize they won last season after a year long competition, where they beat thousands of bands from around the world. The prize was a tour. The tour started out in Hamburg with an interview session with national broadcasters and magazines. The likes of Mixery Raw Deluxe and NJoy Radio, Hip Hop Soundfiles, were interested in Nico & Vinz and asked what experience they were having as they were savouring their prize. Goal of the tour: to manifest their status in Germany as they did in Norway a while ago by releasing that „ONE SONG“, wich pushed things through the roof for this funky live hip hop project.
The next day would lead the band to Berlin and a great show at the Cassiopeia Festival to actually start the tour in a practical sense and actually performing their songs to the German crowd.
The day after was definately one of the highlights of the tour, the Schlossgrabenfest in Darmstadt which had over 3000 visitors that were craving Nico & Vinz´s beats. Since the weather was great it had more of a huge party atmosphere not just a concert.....but a party!
Following date was set at the Pfingst open air in Salching near Passau. Nico & Vinz went to perform a double show with german kickstarter hip hop act CRO who would perform right after Nico & Vinz . So the two hip hop acts would´t give the crowd a chance to take a minute breathing. It didn´t take long til front of stage was nothing but dust and sweat and about 3000 hip hop, Rock and electro fans going crazy on Nico & Vinz´s performance.
Next stop on the map was the Rock am Berg Festival in Eichstädt near Nürnberg. Sunshine seemed to travel with the Band....lucky boys. The rather small festival provided a great line-up. Nevertheless Nico & Vinz performed at early afternoon and quite a huge crowd gathered in front of the stage to dance to their set and emptied the merchandise booth later. Well done! Excellent work!
Taking a small detour via France to have coffe and croissants in the beautiful city of Thionville, the band soon arrived at their last gig of their tour which took place at the Food for you senses festival in Tutange near Luxemburg city.
A nice slot in the evening gave the best chance to represent hip hop done norwegian style! The show went so well that merchandise sold out, even a fellow performing band of heavy metal heads felt obligated to get a sweater. They basically won over everybody!
Looking back, the band played a really convincing set of gigs on this tour and left germany waiting for more!!! This is proof that the judges were right. When it comes to talent it is always recognised.....and when it comes to live Hip Hop there's no better band than Nico & Vinz!!
See you next year???
Don´t hate us...... just feel some Nico & Vinz!
