DOWNHILL
Day 3 and for the first time the grounds aren’t sloppy with mud because the sun has been up shining on us. Obviously somebody up there loves us. The Slovakian representatives walked stage with 2 gibson les pauls and a 5 string bass so we knew we were in for a rock and roll show. A convincing performance where the 2 guitarists shared lead duties and the bassist kept a solid rhythm with the vigorous drummer allowing the lead singer to move and entertain the crowd. The crowd responded to the front man by joining in his ever requests and allowing themselves to be captivated by him. Good rock and roll tunes made this a great way to start the last day of our international live event!
CYRENE
The second band is from sunny Barcelona playing sunny Rothenburg. A wonderfully peculiar power trio playing blues rock with long jams in between straight forward composition and putting a great twist in the songs with inspiring solos. A driven set displaying great musicianship and technical skill. A tremendously pleasant time from this Catalan trio. Gracias!
KNUCKLESOFFRISCO
Simply fantastic songs…...There’s no other way of putting this. The Dutch band had the honour of “closing the gate” for this year. Another season gone and another international final finishing on a high note. This Tilburg unit paraded confidence around like a peacock manifesting its beauty. The songs as I said were fantastic and what made them unique was the fact that they blended pop and rock with piano accordian sounds, acoustic guitars and synthesizers. Great vocals and technical skills from the 4 piece made sure we definitely went out with a bang!!
