PHASES CACHÉES
Second day and the sun is out shining on this 10 piece funky "orchestra". 3 MC's, a brass section, a DJ and a rhrythm section to make us all shake off our hang over. They have groove and they are solid. A fine performance to get day 2 started.....Thank you Paris for bringing the sun.
FACTORY BRAINS
Ok, we would expect all sort of pop, rock and dance music from Sweden but blues? yes people, 17 year olds doing blues with a rockabilly tinge. They have the look and the attitude. A well executed set with great songs and much credibility for these young lads from Stockholm. The sun is still shining and the day is getting warmer on this second day of international music.....Let's (blues) Rock Emergenza!
WASTE
everything is going smoothly and perfectly run so obviously the job of being band number 3 is given to the Nuremberg band. Waste is a 4 piece with a lead vocalist playing piano. The voice of an angel with enough fire in his soul to light up the whole place. Great rock soul tunes that are radio friendly enough to get everybody singing to the choruses. A piece of soulful Germany right here at home. Great!
HANATOCHIRURAN
A real experience to watch and listen! This Tokyo four piece looked like the Beatles fronted by a geisha. A true joy to listen to their japanese pop screams of passion. Solid grooves and technically excellent musicians made this show one of the best we've seen in ages. Drinking Sake between songs and interacting with the public with her soft japanese accent had everybody fall in love with her.....The Looks, The Sound, The Culture, The Love. Aregato Japan.....we are your biggest fans!
STEPANOVS STARLINGS
Russians with wings and make up....yay! what a combination. the hard task of following the previous band was given to Stepanovs Starlings a crazy trio from St. Petersburg, Russia. More energy than a soviet nuclear power plant . These sweaty boys got happy sun drenched Germans dancing and shouting.....all we needed was a bottle of vodka and it would have been perfect. Thank you Russia!
THE MELILLO BROTHERS
Keep it in the family! shouted the MC. A worthy introduction for this group formed by 3 brothers and a guest bass player from New York City. As always, the Americans have made us used to great melodies and these boys are no less prepared to give us exactly that. 3 parts harmonies with acoustic guitars, catchy hooks and smiles as big as NYC itself. A treat for the ears........watch the merch booth go wild with people asking for their CD.....thank you America!
WALDO & MARSHA
Last band of the day....Ok, are you ready for this? 2 drummers, 4 guitarists, 5 vocals, Bass + keys. Probably the youngest band here but don't be fooled by this, although they probably not old enough to drink they certainly have clear ideas as far as entertainment is concerned. They give us cool indie tunes topped up with.....a cow bell! Arrangements to be jealous of, played with such assertiveness as if they've been doing it for ages. The perfect way to end day 2 of this amazing week-end of music and fun. Let's drink!
