KAODIC The last day of the International festival kicks off with the Canadian band. KAODIC is a 4 piece from Montreal who apart from wearing white overalls with gas masks they rock. Both visuals and technical skills are present. Metal with tricky arrangements is the norm for this group. The 7 string bass player was tapping away while the singer was mixing perfectly screaming and singing. Quite melodic and perfect..almost too perfect the execution…..perhaps it lacked some soul but nevertheless it was great gig. BACK POCKET MEMORY What does 2 gibson guitars through Marshall amps men? It means rock and roll! Pure and simple. BACK POCKET MEMORY from Los Angeles is a perfect example of true rock and roll Californian style. A very charismatic singer fronts this 5 piece with great guitarists and amazing drummer. A real work out….sweat and balls on stage mixed with soul. A set played from the heart. Great song, great energy…….a truly spectacular band CLOCK N WORKS It’s up to CLOCK N WORKS to end the Taubertal 2009. The 3 days have finally come to a close and soon we’ll know the winner. But let’s talk about the 4 Parisian boys. It’s hard to pin point the style of this band. It seems like a mix of things but none of one which is quite original after all. Strong arrangements and decent technical skills are what these boys are showing to us but perhaps something is still missing. A british look with pop guitar sounds perhaps is the best way to describe these lads. Now let’s just wait for the winners………
