BAWDY FESTIVAL – Paris (FR)

From here, we can feel the burning breath of the fire-eaters, the clamor of the crowd, troubled by the frightening faces of the clowns with their carnivorous smiles. With a dose of hysteria, they beat out a hard-core rock metal that seems to have sprung from the mating of hip-hop and horror-movie theme music.
Formed in 2003 in the Paris area, the music of BAWDY FESTIVAL is distinctive of melodies from county fair side shows, a brutal sound and a stage perfomance nothing short of bloodcurdling. We perceive the influence of I.C.P., Cypress Hill, and Sepultura in this violent "CLOWN CORE”. The clowns, accompanied by their monstrous troupe, parade like a maddened horde: mutilated, chained monsters, mistreating fairy tale and storybook characters in a sinister, macabre waltz.
The unwholesome, disturbing atmosphere of freak shows, and that of Tim Burton, strange, morbid, yet uncontrollably appealing, are in total osmosis in this sordid and decadent show.
Their performance is an authentic show, to be discovered or re-discovered on stage with the release of their maxi CD "Back In Da Wood" (4 titles and a video clip).

CABIRIA – Milano (IT)

Cabiria band was born in 1998 with the aim to compose music without any clichés or format, able to define colour, passion, breadth, leaving space to any contamination in the form of song writting. Cabiria mixes unusual harmonic progressions with composed rhythmical parts that are technically brilliant yet simple to the listener’s ears, using a non-conventional language sometimes replacing the ordinary lyrics with an ensemble
of sounds. Cabiria proposes original music that is hardly describable to a single style, releasing a sense of gothic and progressive rock in the most dramatic parts, suddenly mutating into pop and playful tones with theatrical taste. Cabiria’s music is dedicated to a curious and careful public that looks for a particular sound, with the desire to transmit emotions and revise them in their own personal way.
