Interview with The Echoes
- how did you get to play together?
The reason i started with the band was the former drummer of the band, John Sullinger, couldnt make a gig so they asked me to fill in for him. And, after that they just decided to have me as the drummer.
- how and why you decided to take part in Emergenza?
Our former manager entered us into emergenza and we had no idea how big of a competition it was.
- what the Emergenza experience means for you, and for your local up and coming music scene?
I''m really stoked to have been a part of this. The experience has been none like any other. The level of talent and creativity that has been exposed to me is very refreshing. For example, i had never heard of Free Agent. Those guys killed it live, and now i''m rocking their cd in the truck.
- Did you expect to win the national final?
Not at all. When i saw villain vanguard and free agent, i was for sure one of those two were going to germany.
- How do you feel about the Grand Final?
Very very anxious. I cant wait to see how people react to our music there. And, to be playing for people in another country is absolutley phenomenal.
- how would you describe your music?
Soulful, hard driving, southern rock.
- what about your relationship with your fans? Do you think their number has grown up since you have played in Emergenza?
I think we have gained some fans since emergenza. The relationships with our fans are almost like we have gained new friends. We dont have a billion fans, so it''s easy to keep up with most of your true friends and keep in contact with them.
- More projects for the future?
Absolutely. Music is my life and always will be. The day I stop playing is the day they put me in the ground.
- Any special comment/thank you about Emergenza?
id like to thank Darren and Vin for working with us, although we are sometimes a little unorganized and well, young, they have been really cool.
