Calgary's Regional Final



The city of the Canadian West Coast Regional Final was in Calgary and the hosting venue was The Warehouse. The room was packed with an enthusiastic audience and a relentless line up of bands! The band that won the final here was none the less but Vancouver's final winner The Sessions who again had onlookers in awe with a set that broke out some serious noise! The 2nd place band was Lucidream with an opening of the band chanting words of independence. 3rd place went to Skulldozer whose high impact energy stomped the stage with sound, in 4th place The Heavy Feather Band had its raspy blues fans in full motion. Slither in Exile were in 5th place with a full out metal set, and Jay Burns & The Council took 6th place with their fans shouting for an encore! The Best Guitarist for the evening was Noel Schroeder from Slither in Exile who received a Crate CPB-150. The Best Bassist went to Mike Miller of VOA who won an Ampeg BA-112. The Best Drummer went to Martin Kay of The Sessions who won Sabian cymbals. The musicians voted Lucidream as the best band. The following bands also had an incredible set; Stinkhammer, 5 Star Affair, 8 Bit Evolution, Halo,Eve''s Reflection, and VOA. The Sessions have now moved on to play at the Canadian National Finals in Montreal on June 17th. Thank-you to all the bands that participated in this years festival from beginning to end this was a season to remember. See you all in 2007!!
