It’s now over… we know the name of all the bands playing for the finals in Dublin… I can already say that I’m happy not to be a part of the jury over there because the level will be very high. 12 bands will do their best to grab the only one ticket to Germany for the Taubertal Open Air Festival… This row of semifinals started with the great performances of The Green and Barakas. Then Dear Catastrophe with their explosive show and the accuracy of Eve’s Alibi have made the difference. Revolution For Dogs and Identity Parade will also play in Vicar Street for the finals thanks to their tightness and finess… The cool guys from the power rock trio Ruffus will also be there and qualified the same night as From Within who didn’t expected a victory until the anouncement of the results but really deserved it ; you should have seen them jumping everywhere… Awesome… There’s also a place for the New Old rock of The Spikes who sent everybody so high with their performance… Koesher and The Fighting passed through during the last night to complete this selection of the finest Irish bands playing for the Emergenza Festival… The Green, Barakas, Dear Catastrophe, Eve’s Alibi, Revolution For Dogs, Identity Parade, Ruffus, From Within, The Spikes, Koesher, The Fighting… 11 ? Who’s the 12th band ? Penfold DM of course ! Thanks to a very precise music and a great attitude on stage they obtained the best amount of votes from the crowd for the all semi finals shows… I can guarantee you that with all these bands, none of you coming to watch the finals in Vicar Street on the 24th of June can be disappointed… It will be for sure a magic night for everybody especially for all the bands for whom rocking Vicar Street is the dream coming true… I’ll be there… What about you ?
