After several months of shows, the first USA regional finals are taking palce in May. All national winners will be officially in by the beginning of July. In August, 21 bands from the USA, Canada and Europe will get together in Rothenburg for the International Final to compete for the title of the best band on the planet. … The road to the national final is long and winding, and the USA will be divided in four big areas and each of them will express one winning band, all on the same day: 1. NY Manhattan will see a huge Final that will display the very best Eastern musical talent: besides the best local bands,3 bands from the finals in Brooklyn, Boston and Philadelphia will take the stage. In Brooklyn the winner from the Buffalo final will play, and in Philly the winners from Baltimore and Washington 2. Chicago will be a huge Mid West Final that will also display the winning bands from the finals in Detroit and Milwaukee. While in the latter will play also bands from the finals in Minneapolis and Saint Louis, the story is more complicated as regards the Detroit final, that will display the winning bands from Pittsburgh and Cleveland. In Pittsburgh will play bands from Columbus and Cincinnati too, and in Cleveland the winning band from Indianapolis. 3. In San Francisco there will be the West Coast Final: besides the best local bands, 2 bands from the finals in Seattle and Phoenix will take the stage. The first one will be the ‘northern final’, and will host the winning band from the final in Portland. The second one will the the Southwest final: the winner from the Denver and the Albuquerque final will play: in ABQ the winners from Tucson and El Paso. 4. The Southern Finals scheme is more and more complicated! The big final in Dallas will display also bands from Atlanta and Austin. The winners from Nashville and Tampa will reach Atlanta; the winners from Columbia will play in Nashville, and the ones from Burmingham and Memphis will play in Columbia. The winners from Orlando and Miami will play in Tampa, and the ones from Jacksonville will play in Orlando. The winning bands from San Antonio and Houston will play in Austin, well… if you look at the complete scheme in picture is much easier! At all the finals, the winners will be chosen by a jury made up of experts and personalities from our music industries and media partners, in cooperation with our tour managers.
