Drop the NEEDLE!

Seattle's notorious Space Needle is located at Seattle Center. However don't be fooled by the location description as its not in the heart of downtown but rather inconveniently located off of a street (should be a highway) called Aurora where there are no turn offs and your stuck driving along a long concrete divider strip for about 15-20minutes before you hit any lights that allow you to turn off. So if you''re ever in town a map is a must! Some interesting facts about this tourist spot is that on a hot day the structure expands about an inch, it stands 605 feet high (which is approx 1,320 Milky way chocolate bars),the building also sways approximately 1 inch for every 10mph of wind, the original name of the Space Needle was "The Space Cage", and it was named "The most romantic restaurant in Western Washington" by viewers of Evening Magazine every year since 1992 (so guys if you forgot your significant other''s birthday, anniversary, or any other pagan holiday this is the spot to take her to avoid restless nights on the couch for a week!) The venue for Seattle''s last preliminary rounds was at the High Dive and the theme for the weekend was Emergenza''s last splash weekend! Thursday''s band to kick it all off with a big bounce was Brier Rose who won over the crowd with two songs dedicated to his mom. The Tainted had a feverish ballroom blitz, while One Carper Green splattered their lust on the walls with sound. Next up to take a dive was A Street Named James whose lead singers vocals haunted the crowd with soul, and The Diets were phat with a track "November". Fridays show had the band Beyond Velouria take the plunge with candy cigarettes, and The Black light district played a song titled "Decry." Come Say Hello had a bubbly set that was like a low pressure sunrise. Fourth on the bill was the band The All-American Playboys who sported off three piece suites and turned the boardroom lifestyle into a rock show, with their neckties on the floor by the end of their performance! Lore brought out a metal set and had the crowd punching & pushing each other, while Homewrecker had some serious girl power with synchronized guitar moves and hard rock. The goggles were on and the bands were suited up for Saturday''s show which had the band Audacity climb up to the diving board with a tight set that showcased their drummer who was just hired to be in the Blue Man Group in New York! Next up was the Kill Kill Orchestra who incorporated a Saxaphone and played an instrumental set. Then the roof tore off with The Mob Law who just came off of the National Lampoon Tour and had the crowd flocking to the stage with their insane set, this band also refers to themselves as "What an exclamation point would sound like if pronouncable" I would describe them more as "A comma because they just kept on running with unbelievable sound." There was no period stopping these guys! Next up was The Red Note who had a full on brass set that had a symphony of sound which put a unique spin on the night, following them was the band Surgical Chaos who were equiped with spikes and metal, while Equalibran Productions brought in turn tables and included 5 MC''s. Sunday''s last dive in started with Apathy Theory who brought in a heavy rock set, and Gift of Prophecy were even heavier with a melotic metal set. Sugar Farm switched things up with some Blues that made the room feel like a Memphis saloon down south with some serious raw talent. Then the band KPop & The Coalition of the Willing took the stage with a comedic lead singer who wore a giant nose around his neck and paraded around the stage acting as if he had hit the bottle hours before as he stumbled around the stage (this was an act of course). Talus concluded this last jump off the High Dive with their progressive rock genre that had their out of town fans stomping on the floor with their beats. This concludes Emergenza''s rounds at the pool, next up is the Semi-Finals at Studio 7 stay tuned...... <
