Seattle's Road of Rock
Another weekend of Emergenza kicked off in the infamous city of Seattle known best for their legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and those are just to name a few. This city definitely has some talent kicking around!
Thursday brought in a night of Rock with the band Missionary that woke up the crowd and made some serious noise. The Sins burned up the stage with an alternative set, while 3rd & Battery mixed up Punk and Blues. The band With Scars to Prove (previously known as Bury me Deep) did not waste away and added in a very comical lead singer who created more of a open mic comedy night rather than a hard core metal show. Fool''s Fate were no rotten fruit from the tree when they played "What I am" as they had the audience in full swing!
On night number two which was Friday the band Flingoctabob really shook the club with a solid set which at one point even had the band all with arms across each other singing a song together that really showed their true bond as a band. Broken Form was up next who mixed things up with a turn table, while The Flood had its lead singer wearing cat eye contacts that looked as if he was on the hunt! The Charles Bonnet Syndrome proved their nation of one with a progressive rock set, and Nearly Nine paraded around the stage like a chinese fire drill. Somebody Stop Melvin finished the night off with a song titled "Babe."
Saturday started with the band She Chose Down who brought action to the stage from beginning to end. Cold September were not to be silenced when performing a song titled "Right Through the Heart" that had the crowd moving. While Bebe Blue slowed things down with an acoustic set that was like a midwinter''s dream. The band Host carouseled the stage with an alternative set that had their fans grooving to their sound. While Tredd''s heavy metal sound had the irony of a song titled "Buttercups & Dandelions" that had the lead female singer shout out some emo chords that took everyone by surprise!
The last night to end this weekend being Sunday had a band called Your Divine Tragedy kick off the night with a tight set that included "Unto the Breach" which had the lead singer running through the crowd on his wireless Sennheiser mic and dancing with the crowd! While Heroe''s Amongst Thieves were anything but Robin Hood and were the actual fugitives of the night taking Punk to a different level. Four Counts Dirty jammed out a good ol'' Rock n'' Roll set that had the audience in full motion. While Left Lane had a ballad of sound, and Set in Stone finished the night with a heavy metal set. This concludes this weekend of Seattle''s Rock Spot!
