Seahawks Touch Down

Seattle was buzzing with the local football team’s current win and slide into the big Super Bowl, which is an American annual legend in case anyone doesn’t watch sports and only live bands (which is an even better way to spend your Sunday I might add). But besides the big game this still didn’t distract the bands from putting on an all out rock show. With Thursday’s line up consisting of Midst of Autumn who locked & loaded their set, Outnumbered handed the stage an eviction notice, and the Neo Ninja Clique paraded the stage with a hip hop groove. The band Mblue dragged it on out that made their performance truly their own, while Dangermart opened their doors and played a song about a Seattle location titled “In the Shadow of St.Marks” that had the crowd moving. Pagasys had a starlight pathway, and the band Intake left a snail trail. For the second night of the kick off being a Friday, Agent Apathy had an American future brought out with a sidewalk kid, and Wide Eye Panic had more of a homegrown set. Seeing Blind went back to their alternative roots and put themselves in a good place, while a Lesson In Chaos had no exit to their set. Rounding off this night was Nuffsed who were no joke when it came to laying on some serious noise. Saturday night had the band The Defenestrators lash out some Kentucky fried blues, and Pistol for a Paycheck was anything but a ponyride. Hating Hilary brought the audience closer to the stage and had the crowd stirring with their sound. Midstokke started a riot with their song titled “Gypsy Road” while the lead singer sung on top of the bar and Faultline broke away with “Another simple Tragedy.” Innergroove shook the stage with their grooving beats that included a Cello, while Ether finished off with “My Pretty.” The last of this weekend’s show started off with the band Gearth who mixed a song titled “Funkapotamous” and Plague of Nations raised the level of crowd appeal and played a shape shifting set. Sue Quigley had some crossroads to her set, and Electric Blue Phantom drove their Trans-Am set into a different road to their own. HD Fusion set a different tone to the night with an instrumental jazz set that moved them into the semi-finals. Victrola brought a torch of fire to close this weekend of music and football!
