Hard Rock in Memphis
Emergenza Festival made its return to Memphis TN, the fascinating historical blues city! The Hightone, the venue that hosted the event, saw on its stage once again some great and talented musicians.
On Friday night CORNERSTONE kicked off the show with a very enjoyable rock set. These guys demonstrated to have some good songwriting skills. EMBRIUM followed with an acoustic funky performance with very sweet tunes. The rock band HEY HEIDI-RAE was very entertaining. This band is very talented and know how to involve the crowd in their show… great stage presence! SOUTH OF NOWHERE jammed a very good alternative set. The guitar player was really impressive. The heavy metal band MADELIM came up next performing a very powerful and aggressive metal set. The pop punk band FOREVER AFTER SEVEN was a lot of fun and won the crowd over. I like their quirkiness! TACO AND DA MOFOS closed the night with an eclectic and funny set. They create the ska atmosphere getting everybody to clap and dance with them.
On Saturday night the rock band AUTUMN FOX had the lights out and created a intimate acoustic atmosphere. Brilliant lead singer and songwriting! The young punky guys from PM TODAY came on stage next and performed a very entertaining show. SUBMERGED TRUTH won the crowd over with their peculiar alternative sounds. The emo band THE SOPHOMORE RISING played a very neat seat.
On Sunday night THE BAD DAY ANDYS started off with a great performance. This punk band was thrilled to play and didn’t let down their crowd. They were very interactive and talkative. BLUE4PIE came on stage next and jammed a very neat acoustic set. The rock band FATAL ERRORS performed an intense and emotional set. Hardcore on stage next with the young boys from THIS SIDE OF SUMMER. They spread energy all over the place! GIANT BEAR closed with a very impressive performance. A very deep female voice, a cello, a clarinet and an awesome drummer mixed together created a unique range of sounds. Keep up the good work guys!
