Indy’s First Lap!
The city notorious for its famous annual race way revved its engines up high without the motor oil sponsors. But were instead marked with Mapex, Crate, Ampeg, and making some noise with Sabian Cymbals! The Thursday show had Up Scumbag who played a few cover’s including Jailhouse rock, and the band ShortBoard had a healing management of relentlessness. The band On the Brink had some sugar and honey that led them into the semi-finals.
Friday’s show started with the band Project Hero who were losing gravity with a case of amnesia and Maybe had a rental car with a twist of cain. While the band that wrapped this night up was Aether Law who burnt down the crowded room with an awesome set of mass heat!
Saturday night Fairview played a song titled ‘Kwicky Koala’ that had the club moving to its beat that rounded off their set . Then the Amanda Shelly band had the lights out and created a intimate acoustic atmosphere that should shed some light on their new CD to be released in July. Ryan Daniel’s had the eye of the storm with the best nightmare on stage, and Red Moon certainly reminded us of the humble dark with their unique earthly sounds.
Sunday’s home stretch began with The Violent Sky performing a song titled “Mr.Jones” that was a different approach to the infamous “Mrs.Jones”. Omission engaged the audience with screaming tears from their fans, that really rocked the house and shook the stage! Steelkase had shadows of a forefront to mark the stage with raining lies, and Deliver us from Evil survived the storm with words of war. The checker flag was drawn to end this weekend with the band Lorenguard who were dressed up as medieval elf’s and had an heir to their ashes.
