A Year to Remember

Emergenza keeps on growing with great success. The experience of a real contest facing the ultimate jury: the audience. The best venues; the hottest back line; technical advice and up-to-date information; countless facilities; remarkable prizes: this is what Emergenza means to thousands of musicians throughout Europe and America. In 2005 Emergenza has worked harder than ever to offer musicians the best tools and opportunities for their musical career. Here our latest worldwide achievements. Another amazing International Final was held in Taubertal, Germany: 3 days, 20 bands, 600,000 $ in instruments. The winning band of Emergenza Festival 2004-05 season was ROCK HARD POWER SPRAY from Aarhus, Denmark. Their live show is vigorous and provocative. They will be playing at the Vans Warped Tour in the US next summer. The EMERGENZA VILLAGE was settled, and was a huge success: an area reserved for artists and musicians, managers and representatives of the MI, media people, jury members. A place where business, music, relax and the coolest parties mix togheter in a magic blend. The New E-MAGAZIN is born: 68 full colored pages about up&coming music: interviews, bands, reviews, and more. 25,000 copies were distributed at the Taubertal Open Air Festival. Track1, our label and management side company, is now fully operating internationally. Some projects have been completed such as the joint venture with Pirate records and Sony BMG for distribution of the new EmilBulls album in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Top Italian selling band Verdena has been signed under management. Other projects involve American (Luzer, Brian Schram Band), Swedish (Nervous Nellie, Doctor Dunbar Medecine Band, Willoowtree), Spanish (Idioterne) and German bands (Mr Brown, Post Holocaust Pop). The Track1 website Download shop is currently under construction. 5 CD Compilation’s were produced in order to give international exposure to the best bands performing in the festival. During the past season, almost 70 B.E.S.T. dates were organized: in Spain 7 concerts in Germany 30 concerts in USA 30 concerts Bands are invited to play and get the opportunity to “show themselves” to new audiences with their travel and accommodation costs covered by Emergenza. The band No Radical Change from Florence was chosen as recipient of the resources provided by the E-Foundation. The production of their first Ep took place in July in Florence with the assistance of Francesco Frilli. The CD was officially launched at the Taubertal Open Air Festival, where the band performed as special guest. Several new cities in Canada and in the US and 5 new countries were added to the Emergenza Roster: Ireland (Dublin), Holland (Amsterdam, Tilburg), Belgium (Brussels, Antwerp), Norway (Oslo) and Finland (Helsinki). We expect 500 bands involved for a total of about 100 concert dates. After 3 years during which our website’s colors and graphics have become a ‘classic’, it was time for restyling. The new Emergenza Website was presented at the Taubertal Festival. The content on the site has increased exponentially, thus reconstruction and reorganization were necessary. New tools have been added, above all the brand new ONLINE RADIO, where every band participating in the festival can upload one song. With an average of 150,000 unique visitors on our website internationally (and growing) this would be a great “break” for any artist. Emergenza merchandising: We now offer wearable items and accessories for all tastes (t-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, backpacks). The design wants to convey the festival’s concept and essence. The Emergenza merchandising will be soon available on the new online shop. New important partnerships have been estabilished: Nimbit, Powderfinger, Onlinegigs. And Starting from the 2006 season the international winning band will get a full professional CD production at Roasting House Studio, in Malmoe. Track1 will be in charge for promotion a
