Cleveland on stage



Emergenza''s elimination round in Cleveland kicked off in at The Pirate''s Cove, a well-known venue in the city''s music scene. Located right in the downtown area the club hosted our bands in this spacious and peculiar stage all covered with red carpet and illuminated with multicolor stage lights. On Thursday night THE STRAWBERRY JAM started off with a brilliant acoustic set. The hardcore band A PHOENIX DOWN almost got their guitars on fire. IMAGINING RED impressed everybody with their experimental sounds rich of effects. Great stage performance from the young emo-core band SOMETIME AFTER DARK. The alternative band FUZION played their set with a lot of passion… very enjoyable! The progressive band IRREALITY created a great interaction with the audience. A powerful hardcore metal set followed with DOWN TO ONE. FEEDBACK and their pure rock and roll style closed the night. On Friday night the first band taking the stage was FREE SAMPLE TUESDAY: a cool ska band with a large horn section. THE CURFEW got the all crowd to sing with a punk version of ''Like a prayer''. GELATINE CUBES brought on stage a sax player and a unique blend of punk and ska. Rappers on stage with FOOTBALL TEAM. The punk rock band JOHNNY MOHAWK AND THE ASSASSINS won the crowd over. Very impressive rock from SECOND SUNDAY that showed on stage all their experience and professionality. Another ska performance with THE SKUNK 11 made everybody dance. HALF PAST NOWHERE rocked such a beautiful set that the crowd just didn''t want them to leave the stage. On Saturday night THE OQUENDO opened the show with an amazing rock and roll set. MULEDEER followed: costumes, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, clarinet and… ska! Grunge style came on stage next with AMNESIA. ALTERED ENDING''s musicians worked very well together the various elements of their rock sounds. The acoustic band COALS AND ASHES played a great selection of classic tunes. Emo-punk fellows IWINS RED showed on stage a very strong personality. Alternative rock performances from ALIVE SHE CRIED and FANSTAB CHICAGO closed a great night of shows. On Sunday night the first band RIOT OF WORDS dropped an amazing combination of punk and hardcore. Black make-up and deep voices followed with INNER DOWNFALL. The metal band A DARK ROMANTIC was a pleasant surprise. COMPLEX MOLD put together some sweet and genuine indie sounds. Awesome rock band ECHOES OF THE PASSED just won the crowd over. The pop band IN UNCERTAIN TIMES showed an original and quiet stage approach. THE BASSICS rocked a peculiar performance with a powerful lead voice. This weekend in Cleveland saw on stage a wide range of styles, attitudes and costumes that proved once again the originality of Emergenza Festival.
