Live in Cincinnati
Emergenza Festival started off in Cincinnati with an intense weekend of shows and a rich combination of styles and sounds.
On Thursday night the pop punk band MILLION LESS THAN ONE kicked off the night with the perfect performance to warm up the crowd. Experimental and peculiar sounds were cooked by THE INFINITY COMPLEX. The keyboard and bongos player brought successfully on stage his talent and his strong personality. A solid rock performance from TYPHOID MARY won the crowd over. Three great voices and rock and roll on stage along with THE KICKING 20''S. The following band was LONG STORY SHIRT: three punky guys plenty of energy and passion to show off. AUDIODOWN gained a spot in the final with their unique grunge alternative style. A very impressive female voice from 3 NAILS brought a breath of fresh air to the night. PROJECT AXIOM closed the show with an exciting hard rock set. Congratulations to the drummer… awesome!
The Bluenote''s Friday night was opened by EAST-OF-EDEN, a band of very young kids with a great attitude on stage. ''Basket case'' and their punk tunes made the audience jump and sing. Rock and roll band TRIAD showed up next in front of a crazy crowd. They finished their set with a Guns and Roses medley. GANESH HEADDRESS performed a very intense acoustic set. These musicians has got very good technical knowledge. Grunge style and a powerful voice distinguished the local established band FATHOM. Shorts off and so much energy from MY WASTED YOUTH… those guys rocked! The youngest band of the night BACKSEAT VIRGIN didn''t let down performing a very powerful punk set.
Saturday night started off… The venue was completely packed and UP&GONE brought on stage all their experience… What about a guitar player performing an incredible session with a bandaged hand? SHOW ME UP put together a very nice indie sound. You couldn''t help clapping and singing with THE GAMBLING DISTRICT. They performed a very emotional acoustic set. The instrumental band HEDGE just impressed everybody with their technical quality… keep up the good work guys! Alternative-garage-rock set followed with NEVERENDER. Old school metal band KAMEL TOW was a lot of fun. Pure hard rock sounds were dropped by AUDIBLE POINT and NINE-FOLD that closed a successfully weekend of original music and fun.
