Throughout the festival years, many bands of different musical styles have been discovered by Columbia Sony, Island records and Universal. During the festival many bands have the chance to be scouted thanks to the thousands of showcases organised for the touring agencies and independent labels. In the USA all gigs will be promoted and followed by the country's best radios. This is the biggest promotional campaign for unsigned bands in North America. Some of the best and most famous DJs will be attending the final stages of the festival just as they did last season. Last year 6000 bands played live on the festival in different parts of the world and hundreds were chosen for showcases, promotional touring and productions throughout Europe and North America.
