Nashville's best

Let it all hang out at the Cannary

Yes, it''s that time of the season, where the best Nashville bands come together for one night and put it all on the line for a chance to advance to the next round. Now I could hype this show up for hours but I say we just get write to the action and let me tell you about the amazing night at the Cannary. So let''s just start from the beginning! Haduken from Murfreesboro started it all up and didn''t disapoint a single fan. With a incubus feel and a bass player out of his mind these guys showed everyone that playing first didn''t mean a thing. So why not follow up with a heavy metal band called Sinjoy and let''s take this in a different direction. I''ve seen all these bands 3 times now and I must say these guys seem to impress me every time. Selph Image is up next and they brought a sound that can only be explained as smooth and sweet. If you like the Wallflowers then you are going to like these guys. We are 3 bands in and the place is feeling up fast and people are already talking on who thinks who is going to win, but that won''t be known till the end of the night. So the drama begins and Jhanke is ready to go. These guys bring the hard and really show everyone that they belonged and it showed as they took 7th place. Next up we have the hard rocking Poles Apart with two front man and a lot of energy behind them. These guys love to play to the audience and it showed as the fans came up front front to support their local boys. Hey it worked because they took 6th Place and made a lot more fans. Ok we are getting closer to the end but a lot more excitement to come, and why not start with Sky Taylor to continue the night of festivities. Now how do you explain sky taylor without putting them in some sort of category, well you just don''t. Sky taylor brought a accoustic rock sound and proved that their music can compete with the rest of the gang. Great song writng and killer violion solos was just enough to get them in the top 7 and take 5th place. LTC is up next and to say that they were the heaviest band of the night sure was right on target. These hard rock boys bring out some crazy fans and they put on a show that was intense and memorable. With the heavy guitar solos it was enough to give them the award for second best guitarist. Ozzfest watch out these boys are knocking on your door. Now we are getting so close to the end of the night and we still have some amazing talent coming up that can''t wait to take the stage. So we now take a different direction and we bring you the band Air 5 . Young ,energetic ,and a sound that is pure can only describe these guys and the heart that they portray can only be seen when they take the stage. People call them a punk pop trio but I''d say they are more than that, I''d call them Nashville''s best young punk band. I think that explains it! And of course taking 3rd place tell you a lot about the talent these boys have. Who''s next, oh yah Full Tilt Auto. Now these guys no how to have fun and they show it on stage better than most bands I''ve seen over the years. Weather it''s slamming the guitars or just joking around these guys are exciting to watch and the music is always up to par. Radio friendly is always a good way to go and that is Full Tilt Auto. Now I''m going to skip down the list a little bit and talk about the 4th place band 3 run lead. Now just like sinoy these guys have impressed me so much over the past 6 months that there is only one thing to say about these guys and that''s they are the next big thing. You can here the influences and feel the compassion in the lyrics. They may be young but it doesn''t show when these boys take the stage and it has been my privalige to see these guys grow. So we go back a little and talk about Pilates Lounge. Maturity and professionalism shows when these guys are on stage. Great lyrics and top notch guitar lycs are what make his band a stand out. Where do we go from here well how about to the funky sounds of VCSB(Verbena Court S
