We''ve been for three weeks at the Club Soda for the semi-final round in Montreal and every single band gave us their best effort.Once again ,we experienced 12 mind-blowing concerts that brought together 96 bands from 21 different styles.Every night,only the top voted band was given access to the final round.Sometimes it was obvious ,sometimes the race was really close.This year ,Montreal is gonna be THE canadian final.The winners from Toronto (ontarian final) and Quebec City are gonna join the 12 montreal finalist for this exiting final step.Let me remind you that The band winning the canadian final will be representing Canada at the international final held at the Taubertal Open Air Festival in Germany. Let''s have a closer look on the band qualified from Montreal. LA CONFRÉRIE The only French bands involve in the final but nonetheless .La Confrérie have an energy that they spread like a disease. They can be funny or deep…or funny and deep!!! The singer got this unique low-key voice that make you think even while you''re dancing. Here''s a band with something to say, saying it through good songs… MOSAIC Alternative band compose of 4 young talented musicians. Through their performance on the festival , they showed lots of maturity and a constant will to evolve has a band . They came up with new ideas and back them with their good songwriting skills…I wonder what to expect from them at the final. NOUGHKNUS A real Hard-Rock band is front by a wall of guitar and this is what this band is all about.Nevertheless ,what comes out from their performance is always the way they communicate their love for music with the crowd .Like expected , the lead guitarist is almost half the band and take over the stage by an efficient choice of melodie. VOX POPULI Another inspired young band that seems to go against the grain.Far from the flavor of the month ,they seem to be following rules brought up in the 70s…go for the song.Their music is still a reflection of what they feel but they found a different way to let it go.If they keep working hard,this could be just the beginning for them D`ARC Soft rock band offering us good quality music .They combined two voice,the Crooner Man and the piano girl .They''re always bringing a whole new vibes in the night .With a little help, those melodies could go mainstream one day. SEVEN STORIES An alternative band fronted by an amazing female vocalist.They''ve been together for about a year and are ready for the big league.They have great songwritting skills to built on .Their songs are most of them hits and they deliver them with such confidence that it''s almost impossible go without noticing.They''re good! WENDY`S DREAMING A brit-pop band that can rock the house.The charisma and talent of Laurent (singer/rythm guitar) bring an edge to the easy-listening vibes of their songs.Wendy''s songs are like a railway to your ear in order to let a train of melodies get into your head.. ASHDOWN A New-Metal band that qualified once again this year for the final.Major change in their line-up since then.The arrival of a new singer/front-man gave a breath of fresh air to the band that always relied on a solid group of musician.Their electrifying performance at Club Soda got the attention of everyone and should give them wings for the final.
