EMERGENZA AT THE HEART OF THE MUSIKMESSE

The MusikMesse in Frankfurt is the biggest European music fair, one of the most important ones in the world, and a proud sponsor of the Emergenza Festival. The representatives of all the Music Industries are going to meet here for four days to present musical instruments and services of different kinds. It is a big international event and, for us, an important opportunity to gain new contacts and prospects which we can then offer to the musicians that take part in the Festival, now and in the future. Last year Emergenza''s booth was nearly 100 square meters right in the heart of the Frankfurt MusikMesse. This year the Emergenza booth will be much bigger, and will again serve as a meeting point for young musicians and music professionals. 100 musicians from Frankfurt will be Emergenza''s special guests at the fair. Two stages will be built in the booth, both fully equipped, one with an electric and the other one with an acoustic backline. The Emergenza bands from Frankfurt will give short performances during the fair, and will make their demos, press kits and merchandise available to the public. After their show, each band will receive an evaluation from industry experts who will be present. Six huge banners will surround the artists on stage, showing the history of Emergenza, sponsor logos and photos taken during the shows. In addition to this, another major event will take place at the fair: Emil Bulls, one of the hottest German bands and winners of the 1997 Emergenza season, who have just been signed to Track1, will offer an acoustic set. They introduce their newest album “The Southern Comfort”, due out next June. If you happen to pass by Emergenza''s booth on Friday April 8th at 4 pm, make sure you stop and listen to the music. On the same day, another Emergenza band will blow away all those present at the Agora at 12pm. Itchy Poopzkid is one of the most kick ass punk rock bands in Germany. International finalists in 2002, they played more than 200 shows in 3 years and have just signed a major deal with BMG publishing/Germany. Prepare to be moved by their sound! There will of course be room for a softer sound as well: Hermanas Sister, winners of the Emergenza Acoustic Showcase 2004, will play live Saturday the 9th of April at 12, on the Saal Europe Stage, at the very exclusive MIPA (Music Industry Press Award) ceremony. Once again Emergenza will be where the music is at the Frankfurt MusikMesse!
