MUSIC CITY ENDS WITH A BANG

Well here I go again, Writing another article about my week of concerts and describing how each Night went in detail. Yes it can get old writing about all of the new bands that I see, throughout each week, But to be honest with ya it is definetly worth it. Not everyone gets to do what they dreamed of in their lives, but for me I guess I was just darn lucky. There have been some amazing bands come through Nashville over the past few months and what a privalige it is too see them move onto the next round and inch closer to the Dream of a lifetime. But before I get ahead of myself let''s talk about the last week here in Nashville. It was the last 2 days of our first round and we were in for a treat. So let''s get to it! It started on Friday night and by the time the first band went on the audience started to roll in. It may have been only 4 bands that night but it was worth it. If you like rock with a little skat well then check out Biffs Deville, surely a crowd favorite. With a sound that reminded me of a little Springesteen and Wallflowers modern rock band Selph Image had their follwers rocking and screaming to every song. As the night was winding down The Lunar Fit impressed the audience with their unique sound and old school rhythms. Definetly a live band not to miss. The name is always questioned but Hobbitcock ended the night with their funky rock sound. Mostly instrumental but plenty of audience participation. Another crowd favorite. So Friday went great and was ready for Saturday. So here we go, it''s Saturday and our last night in the first round and I was hoping that we could go out with a bang. Well we strarted off with a Pants, don''t know exactly where the name came from but they were excited about the show and came out playing the way they know how. Kholera came out with a bang with their heavy metal style and brought a impressive crowd and rocked their way into the semi''s. Followed by Kholera came the guys from Unclean and of course again impresed the audience and came out showing us what a rock band truly is made of. Nice guys don''t always finish last and that truly showed when the Rock band Sober Otis came to Nashville and truly blew me away. I''ve seen bands come and go and can usally tell if a band has the ''It Factor'' and well to be totally honest with ya I think we have one in Sober Otis. A modern rock band with the sounds of NickleBack mixed with MatchBox and maybee a little Creed. Ok don''t kill me because I thought they reminded me of Creed but I mean that as a compliment . A bright future is in store for these gentelmen and we will see them in the semi''s. So let''s end this with our most entertaining band of the night. Once again in the same boat as Sober Otis being friendly is always a rarity in the music bussiness but the Descendents of Reality showed what being a likeable band and a amazing group can possess. With a mix of R&B, rap, soul, funk and throw in a little rock and you get the highlight of the night. I could go on all night about what I like about this group but I will leave at this. Tight, soulfull, energetic, passionate, technical, talented and the showmanship of veteran musicians. It has been a privilage working with all of the bands over the last few months and can say this , Nashville is called Music City and we found what we were looking for.
