EMERGENZA 2005…….START ENGINES!

We are virtually a few days away from kicking off our new North American season of the Emergenza Festival. More cities, more prizes, and more talent. The pre-production time that went in to make sure this season is going to be a successful one, has been bigger than anything that has been done in the past. Of course turning 8 cities into 21, across Canada and U.S.A. for the 2005 period, meant renting more clubs, recruiting more staff and greasing up the media and radios with the right amount of numbers (and good concepts of course) and all round super-human powers. Close to 2000 bands are going to take part in what can be described as “the biggest event for original unsigned bands across the 2 North American countries”. On Thursday January 6th, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto and Nashville, will be the first cities revving up the 2005 “Emergenza race for the top spots. These events, are not going to be just a setting where a bunch of bands are showing what they''ve got, but they are going to be memorable shows with loads of “oomph”. All sorts of companies are jumping at the chance to be associated with our “band wagon” (excuse the pun) and sponsor the gigs. We have been listening to demos and we can tell that we are in for something special. We are also organizing radio promotion and sponsorship so that Emergenza will make sure that the public is getting “the year''s best rock show” with unsigned local bands. Adding the fact that Emergenza struck a scouting deal with Track1music, It should be enough to spur bands to give their performance of their lifetime. All this, my dear readers, is simply told to explain that another season is about to start and that all engines are hot and ready to race…….revv up! revv up your engines!
