TOWARDS THE ACOUSTIC BIG FINAL
The national winners
The Emergenza International Acoustic Showcase is drawing to a conclusion.
All the participant countries (but UK – the December 11th will be the national final) have chosen their winners, the best acoustic musicians of 2004, who will play again in the International Final in Barcelona, the most eagerly awaited acoustic event of the year!
ARNALD BEAULIEU was chosen by the Jury to go to Barcelona in Paris, at the Gibus, with an amazing crowd of 400, who awarded LAMBDA a Takamine TAN 10C guitar, and VIRGULE2 a djembe and a pair of bongos by REMO. The band from Bordeaux was STONY GROUND.
The Italian national final took place on the 28th at the Jailbreak in Rome, and brought victory to ADRIANO VITERBINI a guitarist from ROME, who was awarded the wonderful Ovation LX guitar as well.
Berlin chose the German winner just yesterday night: JENNY WEISGERBER will fly to Barcelona, while the musician/band who won the guitar was WERNER K. HARLEQUIN’S GLANCE was the band who represented Austria at the German Final, while WERNER K came from Munich and JUSTIN NOVA from Stuttgart.
In London (W14, Nov 20th) ALYS won the Ovation Deluxe guitar, besides qualifying for the national final with Jun Joshino, Zena, Delilams Gold and Ben Lewis, while in Glasgow (Nov 25th, Cuba Norte the winner chosen by the jury (to play in London) was PAUL MC LAUGHLIN, the most voted by the audience was GAVIN+STARSKY.
Tonight the Acoustic Showcase will land at the Moby Dick Club in Madrid, but everybody is already looking forward to assist to the big event in Barcelona.
The winner of the International Final will perform in Los Angeles at the NAMM in January and in Frankfurt at the Musik Messe, thanks to Kaman’s support (Ovation and Takamine manufacturer). The winner chosen by the public will win a wonderful Ovation LX customised for Emergenza.
