After a spring and summer of releasing The Peace Pipe EP, touring around Europe and the USA (Vans Warped Tour) it had come time for Nervous Nellie to tour Germany for the third time since they first entered the rocking world of Emergenza. In October the band set out on a tour playing eight shows around Germany, two of which were Emergenza shows in Munich and Cologne with Munshy from Paris headlining. Allot of fun and exciting things happened this time around for Nervous Nellie, they played in small towns and big international cities. In Holzminden the local newspaper managed to upset a concerned mother by putting out a picture of Nervous Nellie cutting their tongues off – apparently the band aren’t suitable role models for children, something the band finds very amusing! Over all the tour was a great success making new friends, fans and selling records. More german tours are being booked as we speak for December and March, the band like Germany so much their plan is to make it their second home! The biggest and most exciting event though was in Berlin. Nervous Nellie got the rare opportunity to open for The International Noise Conspiracy at SO 36 in front of over 700 people! Not only are NN big fans of TINC but to play and hang out with them was just unreal. The lead singer Dennis even mentioned Nervous Nellie during their set telling the audience that it was cool that they knew a band from Sweden that they never actually have met in Sweden (TINC and NN had only met in the USA prior to Berlin). It was a super cool evening and Nervous Nellie want to thank everyone involved in making that happen, thanks guys! I oktober genomförde bandet en åtta spelningar lång Tysklandsturné, två av konserterna var i Emergenzas regi och landade i München och Köln med franska Munshy som huvudakt. Mycket kul hände för Nervous Nellie under denna vända, spelningarna innefattade besök i super små byar men också stora internationella städer. I den mindre byn Holzminden hade en lokaltidning haft med en bild på Nervous Nellie där sångaren Henrik ser ut att klippa tungan av sig – något en förargad mamma låtit chefsredaktören höra, tydligen är NN inga vidare föredömen för barn och ungdomar, något bandet själva tycker är riktigt häftigt och kul förstås! Turnén var genomgående lyckad och man sålde en hel del skivor och lärde känna nya vänner och fans. Ytterligare turnéer planeras just nu runt om i Tyskland för december och mars, bandet älskade Tyskland så mycket att de ämnar göra det till sitt andra hem om möjligt! Det största och mest spännande dock var när NN spelade förband till svenska International Noise Conspiracy i Berlin på den grymma klubben SO36!
