Sad Marvin was formed in the suburbs on Boston, Mass back in 2000. Then called Dali, they were composed of high school buddies Corey Schofield (bass and vocals) and Rich Savoie (guitars). Their musical interests were matched and challenged by drummer Anthony Luongo. The band went through several rhythm guitarists and multiple singers. In a 2 ½ year period, they developed a core sound and solid songs, but needed to evolve fully by adding fresh vocal styles and another guitarist. They auditioned many, laughed at some, partied with all, and scoured the Boston music scene for the musical talent that would fit their sound like a monkey fits a cowboy suit. In the winter of 2003, Greg Hallowell (guitars) and Adam Leiter (vocals) joined the creative purpose and Sad Marvin was born.
