SUOSITUIMMAT TARINAT
"Don't let the man on the screen tell you how it is", sings
Boston-based performer Jon Robert, offering a glimpse into his
Independent spirit. Following in the footsteps of such greats as Edwin
McCain and Better Than Ezra, Jon has released his debut CD, an
Acoustic pop-rock effort entitled "Listen Loud".
Twenty-two-year-old Jon, only four years into his music career, has
already caught the attention of the industry, and landed some prime
gigs, including an opening spot for Epic’s Howie Day.
Jon started writing and performing at the age of fifteen, when he
received his first acoustic guitar, and got a job working in a small
Ipswich, Massachusetts, music store. Around a Mother who loved to
sing, Jon soon caught the music bug himself, writing and playing
original songs that earned him a growing local following.
"Listen Loud", the 4-song Jon Robert EP, contains an infectious,
radio-friendly collection of songs with catchy hooks, memorable
vocals, and ample groove. Based on Jon's acoustic rock sound, the CD
features full instrumentation and solid production. The
independently-released EP was recorded at Q-Division Records in
Boston, home to recent hits like James Taylor's "October Road" and
"Welcome Interstate Managers" from Fountains of Wayne.
Two Wish Records and Jon plan a Spring 2004 East Coast College Tour and appearances at a number of music industry conferences. He is currently promoting the new EP to labels, media and radio.
